Temperature and Humidity Sensor Module for Arduino

The SHT31-D Temperature/Humidity sensor is one of the most accurate devices available, with a true I2C interface for easy reading. It has an excellent ±2% relative humidity and ±0.3°C accuracy for most uses. This sensor is also 3V or 5V compliant, making it compatible with almost any microcontroller or microcomputer. Our breakout board comes with the SHT31-D and necessary circuitry like pullup resistors and capacitors. Each order includes one fully assembled and tested PCB breakout and a small piece of header. Soldering the header onto the PCB is simple and takes only a few minutes, even for beginners.

The power pin, Vin, allows the chip to use 2.5-5VDC for power. The common ground for power and logic is connected to the GND pin. SCL and SDA are the I2C clock and data pins, respectively, each with a 10K pullup resistor to Vin. The ADR pin is used for I2C address selection, with a 10K pull down resistor to make the default I2C address 0x44. The RST pin is the hardware reset point with a 10K pullup resistor, while ALR is the alert/interrupt output pin.

The sensor's specifications include an I2C output, 2.4 to 5.5V power supply voltage, 0-99.99%RH working range, and an operating temperature range of -40° to 125°C (-40° to 257°F). The RH response time is 8 seconds (tau63%).
